Assessment

Once your car has been booked for assessment, we will advise you as to the location and time for us to assess your vehicle.

Due to COVID we request that you remain in your vehicle while your car is assessed and please don’t forget to use your QR SCAN ON ARRIVAL as required by law.

Once we have assessed your vehicle we will advise you as to the repair location, usually the same location as your assessment.

Repair

Please remove all valuables, clean your car prior to dropping off your car for repairs as it is an essential part of our repair process.

Repair time will depend on the extent of the damage, but it usually takes between three to five business days excluding any paint repairs as this part of the process is dictated by the panel shops.

Prearrange for someone to pick you up once you have dropped your car for repairs as we do not provide taxis, or hire car services.

Paintless Dent Repair (PDR)


This is a process whereby most dents and creases are removed from the vehicle’s bodywork by gently massaging the metal back to its original condition. It is a technique that is recognised by all vehicle manufacturers around the world, and it is a cost effective method in order to maintain the vehicle’s original paint condition eliminating the need for body fillers and paint unless the damage is severe enough that paint is required.

We repair most dents from shopping trolley damage to severe hail damage. We assess your vehicle under specialized low intensity light tunnel systems where our team identifies all hail and non-hail damage prior to commencement of any repairs to your vehicle in order to ensure transparency, efficiency and detailed information about any damage to your vehicle.

Q: When I pick up my car, do I have to pay anything?

A: If your car is being repaired through your insurer, you would normally pay your excess to us upon completion. However, if you have a nil excess, you don’t have to pay anything.

Q: Will the dents come back over time?

A: Our Method of repair guarantees 100%. The paint work on your vehicle will not be affected and the dents will never come back for the lifetime of the car.

Q: Do I have to remove any baby seats from my vehicle?

 A: Yes it is a condition before repairing your vehicle that you ensure to remove any baby capsules and then be re-fitted by an approved installer in order to comply with any state safety regulations.

Q: Do I need to ensure my vehicle is cleaned before I hand over my car for repairs?

A: Yes it is a requirement that your vehicle is washed before commencement of repairs in order for our team to be able to assess the damage on your car and also to identify any non-hail related damage that is not covered by your insurance provider.

Q: Is a rental car included in my repair service?

A. No, a rental car will be provided by your insurance company if it is included in your insurance policy.

A. We allow 15 minutes for the check in process this gives us time to go over the vehicle with you and check your details are correct.

Q: How long will the repair process take?

A. Depending on the severity of the vehicle. Time frames vary if the vehicle requires paint works. The estimated time is 2-3 weeks without your vehicle. If your vehicle can be repaired without needing paint work, we allow up to 5 business days.

Q: Are you covid-19 compliant and how?

A. Hail Matrix is a registered COVID- 19 compliant business our staff have completed online COVID-19 safety training and our workshop and mobile services are equipped with personal protective equipment e.g. disposable seat covers, steering wheel cover and floor mats, we have access to hand sanitizer, gloves and face masks when needed.

Q: Will any pre- existing damage be included in the repair?

A. Any pre-existing damage that is not apart of the hail claim will not be repaired, as we are only authorised by the insurance company to repair hail damage, however you are most welcome to speak to your insurance representative while your car is being assessed and they will assist you with any inquiries regarding the repair procces.
